Our Story
The After School Arts Dance Program began in 2015 as a way to provide quality and affordable dance education to grade school students. It started with one beginner class to ages 6-9 once a week with a mini recital at the end of the year.
Since then it has expanded to a multi-level and multi-age program. Dancers train primarily in ballet, jazz, and contemporary technique with styles of tap, musical theatre, hip hop, and fusion offered as in-depth sessions throughout the year.
We have four on-site performances throughout the year. Two formal, and two informal. Our Winter Showcase (December) is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit! Each year we showcase excepts from The Nutcracker along with fun holiday pieces. Our Spring Recital (May) showcases the technique and performance skills the dancers have been working on throughout the year. Each class has the opportunity to present multiple pieces giving each individual dancer stage time.
The newest addition to our dance program is our competitive program (Company). These selected dancers have the opportunity to attend outside dance conventions and competitions. Dancers selected for company demonstrate a strong technical ability in ballet, jazz, and contemporary technique, along with great stage presence, and an overall passion for dance.

Our Mission
The mission of the After School Arts Dance Program is to provide quality and affordable dance education to grade school aged students. We encourage students to view movement through a creative lens while gaining an understanding of proper dance technique. This program will guide each individual dancer to gain creativity and discipline in all future aspects of life.
